Half of UC's admitted students did not exceed California's own standards.

Best estimate 50–65%. And UC's offers track school poverty, not achievement — the poorest schools get about 2.3× the offers their scores predict, the richest about 0.8×. The University considers no standardized test at all. Below is the work behind that, in full.

Who is missing

Where the Young Men Went
