Terms of Service

1. What this is

Admitted California publishes analysis of California high schools built from public government filings, and sells a report that applies that analysis to one family's student. It is research and information. It is not admissions counseling, it is not financial advice, and it is not a guarantee of anything.

2. What it does not claim

• No forecast of an admission decision. Where the report gives odds, they are estimates derived from a school's published record, not predictions about your child. Admissions committees read essays, recommendations, context and circumstance that no public file contains.
• Adjacent years, not linked records. Test results and admissions counts come from the most recent published year of each source, which are not always the same year. The reports say so wherever it matters. No figure here follows an individual student.
• Suppressed data stays suppressed. UC masks counts under three; CSU masks groups under ten, separately in each year. Where a number is a floor rather than a total, it is labelled as one. We do not fill those gaps with estimates dressed up as counts.
• We are not affiliated with the University of California, the California State University, any private college or university, the California Department of Education, or any high school named on the site.

3. Accuracy, and what happens when we get it wrong

Every figure published here traces to a public filing, and the methodology page names each source. If you find a number that is wrong, tell us which one. We will either show you the filing it came from or correct it — and say publicly that we did.

4. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself and for what happens under your account. Accounts are for one family and are for adults: you must be 18 or older, and the parent or legal guardian of the student whose information you enter, or have their permission. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into yours. We may suspend an account that is being used to scrape the site, resell the data, or attack the service.

5. What you give us, and what we may do with it

You keep everything you upload — your student's records are yours. You give us permission to use them for the single purpose of building your reports and running your account. We do not publish them, we do not sell them, and we do not put them into anyone's advertising. The privacy policy is the binding description of how they are handled and is part of these terms.

6. What we keep

The analysis, the writing, the code and the design of this site are ours. The underlying admissions and education data comes from public sources, each named on the methodology page, and belongs to its publishers. Your reports are yours: print them, share them with your student, take them to a counselor. What you may not do is republish the site's analysis wholesale, resell it, or scrape the data behind it.

7. Price, and what full access includes

The school lookup and the emailed school report are free, and the free tier does not ask for a card. There is one paid tier: a single payment of $47, one time, covering one student. It is not a subscription, not a trial that converts, and nothing recurs. Nothing is ever charged automatically, and there is no upgrade or tier above it.

More than one child. Each purchase covers one student. A second student can be added at checkout.

On your statement the charge reads ADMITTEDCA. Full access opens the moment the payment clears; nothing is shipped and there is nothing to wait for.

What the $47 includes. Your student read against their own high school’s record. Your school’s own UC and Cal State numbers are free on the lookup; the $47 adds your student’s odds at the other eight UC campuses, your student’s chances at each Cal State campus, private colleges (chances and average net price by family income), and odds by major or college where the campus publishes them (UCLA by major; Berkeley and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo by college). It also includes transcript upload with the UC and Cal State GPAs recomputed each system’s own way, the private colleges with net-price and Early Decision analysis, unlimited school lookups, and a guided sequence through the application year. Access doesn’t expire. Payment is handled by Stripe; we never receive your card number.

8. Email

Asking for a report subscribes you to the emails that deliver it and follow it up. Every one carries a one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing stops all of it immediately. We do not sell or rent the list.

9. Text messages

If you sign up for Admitted California Essay Reminders, we text the mobile number you give us with essay reminders and review updates. Message frequency varies, up to one reminder a day while drafts are unfinished. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel and HELP for help. Signing up is optional and is not a condition of any purchase. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. 10. Availability

This is a small operation. The site may be down for maintenance, and data sources are republished on schedules we do not control. We do not promise uptime, and we do not charge a subscription — which is part of why.

11. Limitation of liability

The service is provided as it is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and accuracy, to the fullest extent the law allows. Answers from the portal assistant are generated by AI, can be wrong, and are for information only; they are not professional college counseling. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim connected with this site or the portal is limited to the amount you have actually paid us, which for most people is nothing and for everyone else is the $47 they paid. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — including, to be specific about the one that matters, an admissions outcome.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

12. Governing law

California law governs these terms, and the courts of Riverside County, California are where any dispute is heard. There is no arbitration clause and no class-action waiver in these terms; you keep every right a California consumer has, including small claims court.

13. Changes

If these terms change materially, the date at the top changes and anyone with an account is told by email. A change never applies retroactively to a purchase already made. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
