The safety school that wasn't.
At Martin Luther King Jr. High in Riverside, UC San Diego and UC Irvine each admitted about one King applicant in four — the kind of number families call a reach. Then look at San Diego State, the campus most families file as the safe bet.
From this school, San Diego State was as hard to get into as UC San Diego.
A family that listed San Diego State as the safe choice was counting on a campus that turned down nearly four in five of their classmates. The sure things from King were closer to home: Cal State Fullerton admitted 86%. This is one school's record — the free lookup shows yours, and the numbers will be different.
What that looks like for one student
The Cal State side of one student's list, from the app. Long Beach is likely. San Diego State — the one most families file as the safe bet — is 40%.
Bars and percentages at the top of this section are Martin Luther King Jr. High's own record. UC counts: fall 2025, UC Information Center, Admissions by Source School. CSU counts: fall 2022–2024 combined, CSU admissions by source school.

Why does this cost anything when the data is public?
The school numbers are public, and the free lookup shows your school's. What the $47 pays for is your own student read against them: their UC GPA, campus by campus, and the list built from it. It pays for that work once.
Is it a subscription?
No. It is a single payment covering one student. There is no renewal, no monthly charge and no per-report fee. Access doesn't expire, and you can rebuild the report as often as you like. A second student can be added at checkout.
Is there anything else to buy after the $47?
No. There is one price and it opens everything: the odds at all nine UC campuses, your student's chances at each Cal State, the transcript read with both GPAs recomputed each system's own way, the private colleges with net price and Early Decision, unlimited school lookups, and the guided sequence through the application year. There is no upgrade, no tier above it and no per-report fee. A second student can be added at checkout.
What if it does not tell me anything new?
Email inside 30 days and it is refunded in full. No form, no explanation required.
What do you do with the transcript?
It is used to place your student against their own school's admitted record and to build the college list. It is not sold, and it is not shared with any college.
Where do the numbers come from?
The UC Information Center's Admissions by Source School file, the CSU's own admissions data, CAASPP results from the California Department of Education, and IPEDS for the colleges themselves. Every figure on this site is public record; the work is in putting it next to your school's name.
Build the list on the record, not the reputation.
One high school, one transcript, and the admissions record of every UC, CSU and private campus that actually takes students like yours.
